2.) Detroit Pistons

Talk around the Pistons is that they are exploring a trade for a win-now veteran, but what if they wanted to move up in the draft to grab a prospect they really want?

In the latest Locked On Mock Draft where each reporter hypothetically controls the team they cover, I controlled Dallas where the reporter controlling Detroit, Duncan Smith, was intrigued about moving up for Markkanen.

We ended up completing a trade that was Seth Curry, Dwight Powell, and the 9th overall pick in exchange for Stanley Johnson, Marcus Morris, and the 12th overall pick.

This is obviously a bigger deal, but if Detroit was serious about moving up for the likes of a Markkanen or Monk (if he falls), then that could be a possibility as they do have some younger pieces that could entice Dallas to move back three spots.

With the 12th pick, Dallas could target someone like Donovan Mitchell or OG Anunoby.
