DeAndre Liggins

Liggins started the season as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers where he appeared in 61 and started in 19 of them.

Then, on April 9th, Liggins was surprisingly waived by the Cavs to create a roster spot and Dallas jumped at the opportunity to add the guard.

Liggins was claimed by Dallas on April 11th and appeared in the very last game of the season for the Mavericks. In his only game, Liggins logged 25 minutes as he tried to show his worth with his new franchise.

Known as a defensive minded combo guard, Liggins is 6’6″ and 29 years old. He heads into next season with a team option for roughly $1.5 million.

Like Harris and Uthoff, Dallas can cut ties with Liggins this offseason for nothing.

Yogi Ferrell, Seth Curry and J.J. Barea are all set for next season. Then you have the Devin Harris situation, the first round draft pick and possibly Liggins.

If Dallas thinks he can be a lock down defensive point moving forward, then he could be back for training camp at least. My guess, Liggins won’t be back next year.
