PG. Lonzo Ball. 2. 20. .

KOHL: Surprise pick of the day here, the Los Angeles Lakers are going to take Lonzo Ball from UCLA. The Lakers were sitting on the edge of their seat for the draft this year as they knew that if they missed out on a top 3 pick, the franchise would have some serious issues for the next 3 years.

As luck would have it, the Lakers snagged the 2nd overall pick and will surely take the Los Angeles native (and his dad), Lonzo Ball. Ball is an excellent player who excelled mightily during his one year with the Bruins, and it has been expected that he and Markelle Fultz would be going top 2 in the draft all along.

Boston certainly loves Fultz and LA definitely is a fan of Ball so both teams will end up with what they want. LA is getting a great baller to take over at the point guard position for the team and should be put in the starting lineup immediately. Expect to see great things from Ball as he is an above average scorer but can also distribute the ball fairly well. Lonzo Ball should have a great career once he settles into the league.
