KOHL: The last pick of the lottery will be another Duke boy but one that has fallen out of favor for a lot of analysts. Nevertheless, one of the highest touted players in the NCAA this last year, and at one point the expected first overall pick, is still going to be a first round pick.

Harry Giles is a physical specimen who had a bad year in his one season at Duke under Coach K. Giles played in only 26 games and averaged a mere 11.5 minutes per contest, but at the end of the year, he began to show life and prove to the doubters that he could become the player that people believed he was going to be out of high school.

Miami will be a great destination for him where he will still have a good coach in Erik Spoelstra, and have a team that just barely missed the playoffs. Giles physical tools will be great on display next to Hassan Whiteside but he will also get the chance to strengthen his shot, as the middle will be controlled by Whiteside every night.

The Heat’s biggest need is definitely at the power forward position where they started Luke Babbitt for much of the season. Giles will be a project, but could be one of the steals of the draft if he pans out.

If the Heat do go another direction, I believe it would be for a bench piece like Justin Jackson.
