ISAAC: Donovan Mitchell is one of my favorite sleepers in this draft class.

Coming out of Louisville after his sophomore season, Mitchell was on the bubble on staying in the draft. But once he got the right intel of his draft stock rising, he hired an agent and made it official.

At the NBA Draft Combine, Mitchell was one of the bigger standouts as his measurements caught everyone’s attention. Similar to Malik Monk, Mitchell is a smaller shooting guard that can score from anywhere but has the potential to shift into a point guard in the league.

With a 6’10” wingspan at 6’3″ tall and lightning quickness, Mitchell is one of the more intriguing prospects in the late lottery.

Charlotte has a plethora of directions they could go on draft night, but selecting the best player available will probably be the best option. Zach Collins will be a popular pick here, but I’m going with the upside of Mitchell pairing with Kemba Walker moving forward.

Mitchell would give Charlotte another scoring option in the back court and a potential Walker replacement if they ever decide to move on from Walker in the near future.
