3.) Dennis Smith Jr., N.C. State

Arguably the most explosive player in the draft, Dennis Smith Jr. would bring a highlight reel to Dallas.

More from The Smoking Cuban

Smith spent his freshman season at N.C. State where he had an all-around disappointing season playing for the Wolfpack. His team didn’t do as well as people predicted, but Smith showed scouts glimpses of what he could be at the next level.

Standing at just 6’2″ and 190 pounds, Smith is a little undersized against bigger guards, but his elite athleticism is what brings you to your feet. His ability to score off the dribble from anywhere on the court is intriguing to anyone in the top ten.

Although he looked to have proved he is past the ACL injury, teams will definitely have their opinions on his knee come draft night.

In most drafts, Smith would be the top one or two point guard prospects, but with Fultz, Ball and Fox in the same class, Smith could be a steal for some team in the lottery. For Dallas, they would bring in Smith as the next point guard of the franchise.
