The NBA Draft Lottery is set and the Dallas Mavericks have the ninth pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. Here are three prospects they could select at the spot.

For people who believe the NBA Draft Lottery is rigged, Tuesday night didn’t help.

Boston landed the top overall pick in the draft, followed by Magic Johnson and the Lakers at number two. Philadelphia landed the third overall pick.

In my opinion, there are a couple of tiers in the 2017 draft class.

Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball will be selected inside of the top three.

I then put Josh Jackson, De’Aaron Fox, and Jayson Tatum into that next tier expected to go anywhere from 3-7 on draft night.

Then comes the next tier of prospects that consists of around five or six prospects that could go anywhere from 5-10 on draft night. With Dallas selecting in the ninth spot, they should be guaranteed one of these prospects.

By looking where teams above the Mavericks might go on draft night, here are three prospects that could be available at Dallas’ pick and would fit well with the Mavericks.
