5.) I Don’t Want Dallas to…Bring Back the Entire Roster

As tough as it is, changes need to be made to the roster moving forward.

If Dallas wants to continue riding the line of getting younger while still competing in Dirk’s last years, that’s fine, but the roster needs some shaking up.

More from The Smoking Cuban

Nowitzki, Barnes, and Noel are locks in my book to be on the roster next season. I would then put Curry, Matthews, Ferrell, and Finney-Smith as near locks, but you never know what could happen with trades.

Outside of that, I could see anything happening with anyone on the roster.

It was pretty obvious, and Devin Harris even mentioned it in his exit interview, that Dallas needs more shooting and rebounding on the roster. I could see some free agent signings and trades take place to help fill those needs moving forward.

Dallas will also have to decide if some of their younger players are still worth the time and roster spot in developing. A.J. Hammons, Nicolas Brussino, Jarrod Uthoff and DeAndre Liggins would all fall into this category.
