1.) I Don’t Want Dallas to…Ignore the Hole at the Backup Four Spot

Dirk Nowitzki has been the starting power forward for the past 20 years in Dallas, something you can’t say very often about any franchise.

After Nowitzki, Carlisle has a few different options. He can go with a small ball lineup of Harrison Barnes or Dorian Finney-Smith, something that has had some success this past season. Then there is Dwight Powell, who is slated to make $9 million next season

Keep in mind, the Mavericks ranked 30th in the league in rebounding with this same cast.

Because of this, I don’t want the Mavericks to ignore the hole at backing up Nowitzki up front. Dallas needs some sort of rebounding, energy driven four to come off the bench and battle inside.

Dwight Powell isn’t getting the job done and Jarrod Uthoff needs time to develop if he is going to be on the roster long-term. It’s time for a better version of a DeJaun Blair type to be on the roster.
