1.) Markelle Fultz

Philadelphia, New York, New Orleans, Detroit, Orlando, Charlotte

If there is a “clear” favorite to be the top pick in the draft, it’s Markelle Fultz out of Washington.

Fultz is a bigger point guard that has the complete overall game to run an NBA offense. He can rise and score over defenders while having the frame to defend other opposing back court players. Ball might be the better playmaker, but Fultz has the better overall game.

Most teams, if sold that Fultz will be a future superstar, would simply take Fultz and make it work going forward. He would instantly come in as the unquestioned starter in Philadelphia, New York, New Orleans, and Orlando.

For Detroit and Charlotte with point guards under contract, I believe they would take Fultz and figure it out with their current roster.

I could see every single team in the lottery taking Fultz number one, but there are a few teams I think would lean Lonzo Ball at the moment.
