. PG. Dennis Smith Jr.. 9. 79.

The Dallas Mavericks would love to grab one of the top five point guard prospects and in this situation would grab Dennis Smith Jr.

With Dallas sitting at nine, they could be in a position where if point guard is their focus, they simply draft the point guard left on the board when it is their pick. Worst case scenario, all five point guards are off the board by Dallas’ pick.

Most mocks have Ntilikina going to the Mavs, but in this situation, I have the French kid going into the triangle offense in New York. If Dennis Smith is the consolation prize at nine, then you know it is a good draft.

The uber athletic point guard had somewhat of a disappointing season at N.C. State but is ranked 7th on Draft Expresses big board. He would naturally come into Dallas as the point guard of the future.

Next: Sacramento (via New Orleans)
