Andre Iguodala

One of the favorites for the award last season and another favorite this season is the first off the bench for the excellent Golden State Warriors. Will this be his year to breakout?

More from The Smoking Cuban

“The Warriors’ stunning level of success over the last three seasons is obviously largely due to Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. But Iguodala’s consistent play off the bench cannot go unnoticed. His rangy defense combined with savvy veteran scoring makes him one of the most underrated players in the NBA.” –Evan Siegel

“I used to be a major Iggy hater. But, Andre Igouldala continues to put up consistent, efficient numbers coming off the bench for Golden State. This season, he is averaging 7.6 points, 3.4 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game, along with a 36.2% 3-point percentage. And what makes those numbers even more impressive, is that he is sharing the court with Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry.” –Blake Heckel

” I pick either Andre Iguodala or Eric Gordon. Both are in the playoffs so it’s much harder. But they both personify what a 6th man does….comes off the bench and produces minutes. Plays his role. He’s not the star, he’s the scrapper. He comes in and keeps the flow of the offense from stopping and keeps the defense on point. No wrong answer.” –Aaron Reed
