Eric Gordon

One of the favorites for the award had the best season of his career coming off the bench for the Houston Rockets this year. Did the sharpshooter do enough to land the award?

“A huge part of Houston’s success this year is tied into their bench production and three-point shooting. Eric Gordon has been the most consistent in both departments. Finishing the year second in bench scoring (16 ppg) and top-five in three-point field goals made is enough validation for me.” –Emmanuel Dixon

“The Rockets surprised everyone this season with their success, and therefore will be a popular team on awards night. Eric Gordon has had his best season of his career stepping in for James Harden off the bench and scoring in flurries. He has made a great case for 6th man of the year and gets my vote.” –Sam Casey

“I’m calling it now – this will be the Rockets’ consolation prize when D’Antoni and Harden whiff on their awards. Gordon has been the best bench player all year, and is often the only thing that keeps the Rockets going when James Harden sits.” –Shawn James
