3.) Jason Kidd, Milwaukee Bucks

The head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, Jason Kidd, spent four and a half seasons in Dallas during his playing days while helping lead the Mavericks to their only NBA championship in 2011.

After a brief coaching stint in Brooklyn, Kidd went on to Milwaukee where he inherited the young core centered around Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker. After a decent start to the 2016-17 season without Khris Middleton, the Bucks suffered another big loss when Parker went down with another season ending knee injury.

The Bucks didn’t cash in though. They obtained the 6th seed in the East and faced off against a Toronto Raptors team that many consider to be the biggest threat to the Cavaliers out East.

In Game 1 in Toronto, the Bucks threw the first punch at the Raptors by dominating them on their home court. Kyle Lowry logged just four points and the Bucks surprisingly thwarted the Raptors by  14 points.

In Game 2, the Raptors ended up evening the series, but it wasn’t an easy win. With just a few minutes left in the game, both teams were tied heading into the final stretch. Now the series heads back to Milwaukee.

Even though Kidd is a coach, he is an ex-Maverick excelling in the playoffs.
