8.) Tony Romo Night

From people outside of Dallas (and some within), this whole night was torn to shreds as many people didn’t understand the tactic from the Mavs or Romo.

My take, why not?

Why not honor a Cowboys legend and super fan, Tony Romo, by letting him go through warmups? Why not take the attention off tanking the last couple of games? Why not get fans to a game between two teams eliminated from playoff contention?

The overall night was a crazy night. Rick Carlisle even said it was the most people he had ever seen for warmups in his nine years in Dallas, including the Finals. Romo brought a buzz to the arena that hadn’t been felt since Nowitzki’s 30K night.

It was a fun way to honor a Dallas legend and a fun night for everyone involved, especially the fans.
