2.) Dirk Nowitzki Hits 30K Points

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Karl Malone. Kobe Bryant. Michael Jordan. Wilt Chamberlain.

These are the only names in NBA history to score a total of 30,000 points and Dirk Nowitzki joined that elusive group this season.

It might not have garnered the national attention like it should have, but the night that Nowitzki hit 30,000 points in Dallas will be a night I will never forget. From the whole arena rocking “Dirk 30K” shirts to Nowitzki starting the game going 6-for-6, Nowitzki captured the night once again as he accomplished one of the greatest milestones.

History was made in Dallas and we shouldn’t take that for granite, this was one of the biggest positives of the season for the Mavs.
