1.) Devin Harris Almost Missed the Season

At the beginning of the season, Devin Harris suffered a toe injury in the last preseason game that would go on to sideline him for 16 games of the season. In those 16 games, the Mavericks went 3-16 to start the season.

When asked about the season at exit interviews on Thursday, Harris acknowledged that he was initially told his season was over.

"“For me, this year was just a blessing. Earlier in the year, I was initially told I was going to miss the season. I was supposed to have surgery. I was able to rest it and let it heal on its own,” Harris said."

People knew the injury was serious, but I’m not sure everyone knew it was that serious.

Even though he played a limited role off of the bench, Harris finished the season averaging six points and two assists a game in 16 minutes a night.
