3. Jason Terry – with Dallas 2005-12

Maybe more than any other player in Dallas Mavericks history, Jason Terry is the best example of the Robin to Dirk’s Batman. From 2005 to 2012, the Mavs were a force to be reckoned with and an opponent that most teams in the NBA did not want to see across from them when they walked in the gym.

A big reason for that was the duo of Jet Terry and Dirk wreaking havoc on the league. The Jet had some moments where he was less than stellar and some times where the Mavericks fans cringed watching him throw up contested shots, but when the 4th quarter came around, there was no one (aside from Dirk) that we wanted to see with the ball.

Terry, like Harris, was there for the glory days of the Big German, but he also joined Dirk for the most important part of his legacy. Terry and Nowitzki led the team to the 2011 NBA Championship behind all around incredible play from Dirk and incredibly timely shooting from Terry. These two really did make up one of the best pairings in the NBA between a former MVP and former 6th man of the year.

Terry may not have been the one who assisted Dirk a majority of the times with passing, but he sure assisted him in many other ways on the court.
