The Big Fish

Dallas has never landed a BIG fish. Obviously, we were able to land Harrison Barnes last year, but we have never signed a show-stopper. This will probably be the case this year, but we can still dream.

Now, of course, EVERYONE wants the 2-time League MVP. The idea of the Dallas Mavericks, or anyone for the matter, is merely a pipe-dream. But, this is the NBA, and Stephen Curry is a free agent this summer, so anything can happen.

Blake Griffin, LAC

As for this big name free agent, the Mavericks have a slightly better chance of signing Blake Griffin. The former Sooner is from Oklahoma, which is not that far away from Dallas, and he would look good in a Mavericks’ uniform. Once again, this is a bit of stretch, but, in the NBA, amazing happens.

In conclusion, Dallas will really need to get their big poles out to go fishing this summer. But before then, let’s focus on this season and look at the Mavericks’ schedule as they try to capture that “coveted” eighth playoff spot.
