The Small Forwards

Harrison Barnes (or Wesley Matthews if Dallas plays small) is obviously the starting small forward for the Mavericks, no matter who we sign. But, with young players like Nicholas Brussino behind him, adding another big name would help the Mavs exponentially.

Otto Porter Jr., WAS*

This is a player who was heavily pursued before the trade deadline and could bring a lot of depth to the small forward position. In his 4th year in the league, Otto Porter Jr. has consistently improved in almost every statistic. For example, Porter is averaging a career high 14.6 points per game this season. Also, Porter is shooting a very impressive 46.5% from 3-point range, also a career high.

Ersan Ilyasova, ATL

The king of trades, Ersan Ilyasova will finally get to make his own decision on where he plays next season. Ilyasova just got traded to his 6th team in 9 seasons before the deadline. However, that doesn’t mean a little won’t motivate him to move to number seven.

Bojan Bogdanovic, WAS*

Another recently traded player, Bojan Bogdanovic will be a pretty big free agent over the summer. The 3-year player averaged 14.2 points a game for the Nets before he was traded. Bojan is a young, fearless player that bring a lot of energy to teams.

Tyreke Evans, SAC

Yet again, we are talking about a player who has very recently relocated. But, we all know that money talks, and this player is going to be available this summer. Tyreke Evans is a well-experienced player who can be very productive when put in the right situation.

Jeff Green, ORL

A very large small forward at 6-9, Jeff Green is a very appealing free agent this summer. In his 9th season in the league, Green is a great rotation player and brings a lot of hustle coming off the bench for teams.
