The Trade Deadline has passed, and Dallas was able to land Nerlens Noel in a solid deal with Philadelphia. But, Dallas still has a lot of areas where they can improve. So, we now look forward to the 2017 Summer Free Agency Market.

The Mavericks didn’t make a “blockbuster” trade and bring a HUGE name to Dallas. But, acquiring Nerlens Noel was a great move. Dallas traded Andrew Bogut, Justin Anderson, and a protected 2017 1st round pick for Noel. Also, that draft pick only turns into a 2017 and 2018 2nd Round pick if the Mavericks stay in the top 18 of the draft.

So, the trade season is over. Therefore, look ahead at summer free agency market. There are so many solid players available in the upcoming off-season. That being said, we need to start getting our ducks in a line. Two years ago, we all saw a huge signing of Deandre Jordan crumble before our eyes, so free agency is a touchy subject in Dallas.

One of the biggest stories coming out of Dallas last month was the release of Deron Williams, who many thought would be traded before the deadline. Williams reportedly fought the idea of being traded and, instead, wanted to be released on waivers so he could choose his next team. Now, D-Will will be a Cleveland Cavalier to finish the season.

Dallas has a lot of potential with their talent and age. Let’s look at 5 players at each position that will be on the market this summer. Potential contracts that these players will not be discussed, simply what their role could look like on the Mavs.
