. Dallas Mavericks. . Quincy Acy. C

Former Dallas Maverick, Quincy Acy, is obviously not relevant to the organization anymore, but he was well-liked in Dallas before we released him to make room for other players on the roster. Acy is now playing in Brooklyn where he is getting a much better opportunity than he was ever going to get with the Mavs.

One thing that Quincy Acy can be credited for even in his 6 games on the court for Dallas, is his tenacity. There was no doubt that he wanted to be on the court and he took every opportunity he got from it. Whether it was a vicious dunk or hard-nosed defense, Acy was there to make an impact.

I gave Quincy Acy a C mostly because he never could crack into the relevant part of the rotation for the Dallas Mavericks. A lot of that is not his fault, but as a veteran player, he should have been able to do more on the court for the Mavs.

Even though he is gone, fans here in Dallas wish he could have stayed longer. A local boy from nearby Dallas in Mesquite, he loved it here and the fans loved having him here. Had it not been for just a poor opportunity and poor timing, there is a good chance we would still be able to see Acy put on the Mavericks uniform night in and night out. Regardless of his grade, Acy was a Maverick.
