Dallas Mavericks: Mid-Season Centers Grades

The Dallas Mavericks centers this year have been quite the roller coaster, to the point where the everyday starter is now Dirk Nowitzki. How have the rest of they guys faired so far this season?
When the Dallas Mavericks entered the season this year, many fans were excited to see what we would do with former 1st overall pick, Andrew Bogut. Between him and the uptick in play from Salah Mejri towards the end of last season, it was looking good for Dallas at the center position.
Now, a little past the halfway mark of the season, the center position is once against the Mavericks top concern. In fact, we have completely ditched the idea of playing a traditional center side by side with Dirk Nowitzki, and instead using the big German as the stretch 5 with Harrison Barnes at the 4.
Clearly Dallas will need a better center down the road and any of these guys could be gone before the end of the week. The Mavs guards and centers haven’t been stellar but they have been good enough when they get on the court. That can’t be said about the centers.
So, without further ado, here are the Dallas Mavericks center mid-season (or a little past) grades. We will start off with the one that all MFFls must agree has been the main bright spot for the team in the middle. And no…that is not A.J. Hammons.
