3.) Potential Mavericks Trades

A few days ago Sean Deveney, of Sporting News, reported that the Dallas Mavericks “had previously inquired about Okafor and could revisit those talks at the trade deadline.”

How serious or the extent of those talks are unknown, but what about the other teams rumored to be interested in Okafor over the past week.

Both the Portland Trail Blazers and Denver Nuggets made trades with each other in the front court  that looks to take them out of the Okafor talks. Now, New Orleans made their front court splash, thus taking them out of the talks also.

This leaves the Bulls as the only team left standing in the Okafor ‘rumored’ trade talks. So if the reported Mavericks interest is real, some of their main competition for the big man has been eliminated. If Philly is serious about moving him, this could also take the price down as the teams bidding looks to have dropped drastically over the past week.
