The NBA world was shocked on Sunday night as the Kings traded DeMarcus Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans. How does this effect the Dallas Mavericks?

After records were broken and Anthony Davis took home the MVP trophy, the All-Star game in New Orleans quickly took a backseat on Sunday night as trade news overtook the sports world.

With Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski dropping intel on the situation all day long, news was slowly coming out that the Kings were going against their public stance of not trading Cousins. Then the bomb dropped.

Now DeMarcus Cousins joins Anthony Davis on a New Orleans Pelicans team that is just 2.5 games out of the playoffs coming out of the All-Star break.
