4.) Toronto

The Toronto Raptors are my second wildcard destination for Andrew Bogut.

Before you count them out, here me out. Toronto could be in a money crunch come this summer.

More from The Smoking Cuban

Going into free agency next summer, DeRozan will be at $27.7 million, Valanciunas at $15.4 million, Carroll at $14.8 million, and Ross at $10.5 million. Then you have the player option for Kyle Lowry that will be declined and enter him into free agency.

With Toronto most likely wanting to keep their star backcourt together and Lowry most likely demanding the max, the Raptors could be in a tough spot financially. So what player could they ship off while bringing back a similar player to keep them in the playoff hunt and create cap space for the summer?

Jonas Valanciunas.

Toronto could see the increased play of Lucas Nogueira and the way the NBA is shifting to a faster pace to make bringing back Lowry and keeping Carroll a higher priority.

If they did center a trade around Bogut and Valanciunas, both teams could benefit. Toronto would plug in Bogut, remain in the top half of the Eastern conference playoffs, and open up cap space to max out Lowry this summer without shredding the roster.

Dallas, if sold on the talents of Valanciunas, would get a young big man to build around with Harrison Barnes at a decent price.
