Andrew Bogut Injured, MRI Set for Tuesday

Andrew Bogut went down on Monday night holding his right knee as he never returned to the game against Charlotte. An MRI is scheduled for Tuesday.

After coming up in some trade speculation over the past couple of weeks, Andrew Bogut has been one of the hot topics surrounding Mavs fans. With Dallas in the cellar of the league and Bogut on an expiring contract, the veteran big man could have significant trade value this winter.

But Monday night could have changed all of that.

After a skirmish around an offensive rebound, Bogut went down holding his right knee where he stayed sitting up on the floor. He immediately limped straight to the locker room where he was determined out for the rest of the game.

ESPN quickly reported that there was at least optimism surrounding the Bogut injury from the Mavs side of things.

MacMahon also went on to report that Bogut is scheduled to have an MRI on Tuesday where the severity of the injury will be determined.

If the injury is long-term, this would be devastating for the Mavericks as one of the only real trade baits they have would immediately be off the table. Any push the Mavericks would hope to make in making the playoffs would presumably go out the door.
