Enes Kanter

Another popular choice this year is Enes Kanter who turned some heads with his play in OKC last year. Will he make a jump in production this season?

“I think the only way this guy doesn’t win the award is if he becomes a starter throughout the season, which is a very real possibility. If not, he will still see massive minutes and get it done. I think the team showed they have faith in him when they traded Serge Ibaka on draft night. The pick they made for Damontas Sabonis is sort of scary, but Kanter should see a bulk of minutes behind Steven Adams or Sabonis. He may even take one of their jobs throughout the season.”

– Austin Denius

“Whenever a player of Kevin Durant’s caliber leaves, there will always be a major hole left behind. Enes Kanter will have an opportunity to see an increased offensive role coming of the bench for the Thunder, and will put up some major points. Kanter will be the 6th man of the year.”
