4) The Mavericks Young Bench Players Need to Progress Over the Season

Dirk Nowitzki has been with the Dallas Mavericks for nearly twenty years, longer than many people have been Mavs fans. Imagining Dallas without Nowitzki feels strange, yet it unfortunately will happen within the next few years. With that in mind, Mark Cuban and Dallas’ front office have began preparations for his leaving.

The Mavs bench is filled with young players filled with potential. We saw guys like Justin Anderson, Dwight Powell, and Salah Mejri take the court last year, and now the Mavs have added even more youth in the additions of Seth Curry, Quincy Acy, and Nicolas Brussino. Dallas will need these players to have solid production off the bench as well as develop their game. These youngsters are possibly the future of the Mavs franchise, and will need to grow as the season goes on.
