Kyle Collinsworth’s Playmaking

Mr. Triple Double comes into Dallas’ training camp where he looks to translate his all around college game into a game suitable for the NBA. Is he a smaller shooting guard or an all-around point guard? Can he be a combo guard?

On Wednesday, Collinsworth found himself running the point guard spot a lot and he didn’t disappoint.

He ran a picture perfect pick-n-roll with Dwight Powell and even added some flash to a couple of his passes behind his back. He was running the point opposite of Jonathan Gibson and to my opinion, was winning the matchup the whole scrimmage.

He showed his intellect of the game on both ends of the floor, but I was impressed Wednesday by his playmaking the most as the BYU star ran the Blue Team’s offense quite well.

If Collinsworth is going to make this final roster, he will need to continue this type of play throughout the next couple of weeks.
