Utah Jazz

Utah is one of those teams that just seems to be one year away every single year. They have put together a really solid group with a young, hopeful coach, but continue to fall to the injury bug. Gordon Hayward and Rodney Hood are looking to turn things around this year though.

After adding Joe Johnson, Boris Diaw, George Hill and a few rookies this summer, the Jazz have a good shot. That along with a hopefully healthy Dante Exum, Alec Burks, and Rudy Gobert will make this a very dangerous team.

Dallas has had very solid success over the Jazz for a long time but things could quickly change this year. Dirk Nowitzki’s success against the Jazz has been obvious over the years, but with him getting older and Utah coming into their own, that success might be more limited.

This would be a great matchup for Dallas because it would give the team a look at one of the tougher competitors for years to come. The Jazz may not be there yet, but their internal building is going to strike gold one day and it could be soon. The Mavs need to keep the edge over these up and coming teams.
