Dallas Mavericks: Why Barnes and Matthews Will Pair Nicely

2.They are Healthy

This point may get a little bit of disagreement considering Matthews’ achilles injury last season, but both players have shown ironman capabilities for their teams. Even though Barnes is pretty young and hasn’t had much of a chance to prove his health, youth is always a good thing for keeping players on the court.

Chandler Parsons was a capable ball player who had above average skills on the court, but the biggest problem was that we didn’t get enough chances to see him on the court. Harrison Barnes will fix that and then some.

Then you consider the fact that Wes Matthews tore his Achilles only to return for the entire next season and you get two players that want to be on the court no matter what. That will bode well with their chemistry and level of respect for each other.

Dallas is full of players who will do what it takes to be on the court and a medical staff that can get them there. Expect this year to be a healthy team for the Mavs.
