1.Ball is Life

When the Dallas Mavericks got Matthews last offseason, it was no secret that he lived and breathed basketball. As an undrafted player out of Marquette, Wes new that he was going to have to work for what he got in his career. That is exactly what he did.

Harrison Barnes kind of took the opposite path. As one of the premier players going to the University of North Carolina, Barnes was underwhelming to the point of his draft stock dropping and not being picked until the 7th pick of the 2012 NBA Draft.

For that reason, Barnes has had to work his butt off since getting to Golden State. What was once a promising young small forward with chances of stardom, was now a bench role player, seeking for a starting spot.

Fast forward in time a little bit and you begin to see just how dedicated these two players are. Matthews has earned his spot as one of the best 3-D guards in the league while Harrison Barnes is one of the better young talents to keep an eye on. Both have exceeded their most recent expectations.

For these two players, basketball is their whole life. What they do off the court will only make them better on the court and you have to admire and respect that amount of dedication. It will be fun seeing these two workhorses on the court together, (three if you count Dirk).
