5 Questions I Have For the 2016-17 Dallas Mavericks
By Isaac Harris

2. What is the Plan for Dirk Nowitzki‘s Minutes?
Last year, in Dirk’s 18th year in the league, he averaged over 31 minutes a game as he played in 75 games. When looking at his production, these numbers are just ludicrous for someone of his age.
This summer, Dallas re-signed 25-year old Dwight Powell to a new four-year deal and brought in Quincy Acy on a very cap friendly contract. These two, in addition to the Harrison Barnes’ ability to play the four, should give Dallas some other options besides Dirk at the four.
But what is the plan to give Dirk more rest?
Will Dallas plan to give Nowitzki more nights off this coming season? Can he get under 30 minutes a game like he did two years ago? Does Dallas have high enough hopes to give Powell or Acy big minutes?
