The Front Court

Rudy Gobert (France/Jazz)

Pau Gasol (Spain/Spurs)

Andrew Bogut (Australia/Mavericks)

Jonas Valanciunas (Lithuania/Raptors)

This would be the position where this team could get the closest in matching up with USA, even though Team USA will probably be running out Carmelo Anthony at the power forward spot.

At center, I have to have Rudy Gobert locking down the paint as he is arguably the best non-USA player playing in Rio. When USA plays France next weekend, Gobert will be as good as any in defending the paint against the plethora of athletes on Team USA.

Pau Gasol would get my nod as the starting power forward. He has experience playing at the position beside of his brother and would fit nicely beside Gobert.

Bogut and Valanciunas would be two solid backups in the front court and would provide this team the toughness to battle against the likes of DeMarcus Cousins and DeAndre Jordan.
