The 2016 NBPA Player’s Voice Awards were announced on Thursday and the Dallas Mavericks players voted on their best teammate.

Becoming a tradition, the Players Voice Awards are all awards voted on by players and players only across the league. From the MVP of the league to what coach players would like to play for, players across the league vote for who they think should win each award.

Last year, it was James Harden that was voted on by the players to win the MVP award, not the actual winner of the award, Stephen Curry.

This year, there wasn’t any glaring surprises as most of the winners were expected by most. One winner that did stick out was Stephen Curry winning “Toughest to Guard” over the likes of Russell Westbrook or Kevin Durant.

In voting for the awards, each roster is asked to vote for the “Best Teammate” on the team. The following is each team’s results in the Western Conference…

The Dallas Mavericks voting Jeremy Evans could be surprising to some, but if you kept up with the chatter of the Mavs, he was well-respected from top to bottom.

Another winner worth noting is Mavs newcomer Quincy Acy being voted the “Best Teammate” by his peers in Sacramento last season. Acy looks to have a prominent role off the bench where he returns home to Dallas.
