The Dallas Mavericks have had a whirlwind of an offseason, making trades and finding players in many different ways. Which one was the team’s biggest steal?

Every team in the NBA looks to make some sort of splash or change to the roster to bolster and strengthen any weaknesses it may have had from the previous season. The offseason period, including the draft, free agency, and summer league signings, all give the teams individual opportunities to make a splash.

As with any decision, these signings can either hurt or help the team. No one makes a decision knowing it is going to hurt them, but some players just do not pan out into what they projected to be. These booms and busts are what make the offseason so exciting in the NBA.

The Dallas Mavericks really took that philosophy to heart this summer as they look to capitalize on quite a few high risk, high reward players. These decisions can often look good or bad on paper, but we will never know just how they are going to do on the court until the season starts.

Despite the mystery surrounding these players, we still like to make our predictions for the upcoming season based on our own thoughts and scouting. It’s also always fun to talk about the players the Mavs have signed, considering the list has been pretty long over the last few seasons.

With that being said, here are the staff picks for the Dallas Mavericks best offseason steal for the team.
