9.) Emmanuel Mudiay, Denver Nuggets

The 7th overall pick in last’s years draft had somewhat of a decent season, but never really “blew up” like people thought he would in his rookie season. But at just 20 years old, Mudiay is just beginning his career.

Now Mudiay comes into another season under Michael Malone where he will have the reigns again of a young Denver team coming into their own. Not only will the weapons around Mudiay be back healthy and a year older, but Denver went out on draft night a drafted a new perfect compliment to Mudiay in the backcourt.

Drafting Jamal Murray gives Mudiay a backcourt mate that is deadly from behind the arc, something that Mudiay lacks. Mudiay’s athleticism and ability to get to the rim will fit nicely with the sharpshooting Murray.

With the pieces around him and his rookie season under his belt, Mudiay could have a breakout season.
