4.) Solid Defender

Andre Iguodala doesn’t start for the Golden State Warriors, Harrison Barnes does. Some average NBA fans might forget that as it’s Harrison Barnes that normally goes up head-to-head against the best wing defenders in the game.

From Kevin Durant to LeBron James, Harrison Barnes takes pleasure in playing quality defense against the best in the league. Golden State just has a luxury in having him and Iguodala to split the duties together.

Standing at  6’8″, 210 pounds, Barnes also has the ability to match up against the small ball power forwards in the league and stand his ground. When Golden State trots out their “death lineup” with Draymond Green at center, its Barnes that takes on the power forward spot both offensively and defensively.

Having Barnes and Matthews on the wing would give Dallas one of the best young defensive wing units in the league. Plus, it would give Matthews a break to focus a little more on the offensive end.
