The Dallas Mavericks will have their 2015 second round draft pick, Satnam Singh, playing on their Summer League team this summer.

With the 52nd pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, the Dallas Mavericks selected Satnam Singh out of Chawke, India. Singh gained national attention as he became the first Indian born player drafted into the NBA.

Singh, standing at 7’2″ and 290 pounds, spent five years playing basketball at IMG in Florida before being drafted by the Mavericks last season. With the intention of heading straight to the D-League, Dallas selected the big man and made international history in the NBA.

Singh spent all of last season with the Maverick’s D-Leauge affiliate, the Texas Legends. Singh played in just 19 games and logged just 150 minutes of gameplay.

But according to Basketball Insiders, Singh will look to get some action with the Dallas Mavericks’ Summer League team this offseason.

Singh will come in right away and get minutes at the center position with newly drafted A.J. Hammons.

Although Singh never made the active Mavs roster last season, and possibly never will, it will be interesting to see if the big fella has improved since last summer as he goes against some of the newest and youngest players in the league.
