Marvin Hanke: Malcolm Brogdon

“If he is there, I feel like Malcolm Brogdon (like Justin Anderson and Rick Carlisle a Virginia Cavalier) would be a great fit for the Mavs. He can play on both wing positions and should be able to contribute right away. At 23 he is older than most scouts would like, but Dallas prefers players with experience anyway. A versatile do-it-all guard who can defend, dribble, pass and shoot the ball would work well as a complementary player on the roster behind Matthews and Anderson.

If Brogdon is gone I’d love to have Gary Payton II who could become a Patrick Beverly type of player in the NBA.” -Hanke

Malcolm Brogdon is a popular pick, but will he be on the board at 46? Will the Mavs look to conserve a roster spot and salary by trading the pick?
