Isaac Harris: Caris LeVert

I really believe and hope that Dallas will entertain trading this pick with other assets to move into the back-end of the first round, but if they stay put, Caris LeVert would be my pick.

Go back and look at second round picks 40 and later over the last couple of years, most of the picks never made it to the league or they lasted a very short amount of time. This is why Dallas should swing for the fences and draft a player with first round talent. Due to LeVert’s injury status that has kept him from any pre-draft workouts, he finds his draft stock plummeting into the second round. Most draft experts had LeVert in the mid to late first round before his injury.

His playmaking ability and outside shot could give the Mavs a young presence off the bench they have been missing. If LeVert gets back healthy, it could be one of the biggest steals of the draft.

Next: Brogdon
