With the NBA Draft set to take place on Thursday, the Dallas Mavericks are set to draft in the 46th spot in the draft.

With the Mavericks trading their first round pick a few years ago in the Rajon Rondo mid-season trade, Dallas is left with just a second round pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

Over the years, Dallas has went a plethora of different directions with their second round picks. Some years they have taken players that have competed for a roster spot while other years (like last year) have consisted of players who never suit up in a Mavericks jersey.

This year, it’s unclear with the direction Dallas will look to go. Will Dallas try to buy into the first round or will they stand pat at 46? Will they draft a player to make a difference or is a draft-and-stash player the pick? Could Dallas sell the pick and back out of the draft all together?

A few of our staff members make their predictions on what the Mavs will do…
