Dirk Nowitzki deserved the Finals MVP as much as any NBA player to ever play the game. Without Dirk, the Dallas Mavericks never win a title and probably are never looked at as a legitimate NBA franchise.
For the entire playoffs, Dirk averaged nearly 28 points per game on 48% shooting. He also pulled down 8.1 rebounds per game to help the team in every way that he could.
