4.) Dirk Nowitzki Will Sign a Two-Year Contract

Dirk has been pretty vocal about being back for next season and possibly for a 20th season depending on his health next year. Although Dirk did opt-out of his current contract, I have strong indications that Dirk will be back once again on a contract that will benefit the team.

Dallas doesn’t deserve Dirk, but I think Dirk will once again take another pay cut to come back to Dallas next year. If it means Dallas could land Howard and bring back Parsons and Williams to form a starting unit with him and Matthews, then I think Dirk will once again pitch the idea to Dallas.

I believe Dirk will sign a two-year contract with a player option for the second year worth around $6 million dollars a year. Something that is almost sad seeing, but once again shows the person and player that Nowitzki is.
