1.) Dwight Howard Will Be a Dallas Maverick

Ok, I had to start with this one because it leaves a trickle down effect on the other predictions.

I’m not saying I would love this or that I absolutely want this, but I think it has a very good chance of happening.

Dwight Howard enters a unique situation over the offseason where it’s all about what teams on the market still view him as a dominant player. Not just that, but what teams will be willing to dish out the money to get him. There will be teams like Milwaukee and Orlando that will be offering max money probably, but its the next tier of teams that is intriguing.

I think the Mavericks are one of the only “competitive” teams in that next tier that will be willing to take the risk and give Dwight a hefty contract. Sure, the fit with Carlisle would be interesting, but I think Howard is ready to put the Houston past behind him and do whatever it takes to get back to the Finals. Plus, the history of the Mavs medical staff could be very intriguing with Dwight.

I predict Dwight will come to Dallas on a four-year contract for LESS than the max. I think Dwight will sacrifice some and take a little less to come to Dallas.

Next: Parsons and Williams
