1.) Team Three Point Shooting Rank

The Dallas Mavericks finished 23rd in three-point shooting across the league at a 34.4%. 22 other teams shot a better three-point percentage than this Dallas Mavericks team.

This is surprising mainly because of the roster makeup and style of play from the team. For the past 18 years, Dirk Nowitzki has anchored down the power forward spot in Dallas, thus giving the Mavericks yet again four positional players on the court who can hit from behind the arc.

After signing Wesley Matthews and bringing in a definite shooting upgrade at point guard in Deron Williams, Dallas provided a backcourt around Chandler Parsons and Nowitzki that gave Dallas a starting unit that many would have predicted to pour in the three pointers.

Then factor in a bench unit of Devin Harris, J.J. Barea and new rookie Justin Anderson (who shot 45% in his senior season at Virginia). I would have predicted the Mavericks to finish at least top 15 at the beginning of the season.

Who were the top two teams in the league in three point percentage? The Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs.
