Isaac Harris: Salah Mejri

“This one was a close one, but I have to give it to Salah Mejri. Even though we didn’t see him for the first half of the season, Mejri certainly made his presence known once he made it to the court. Salah started the season as the third string (maybe fourth) center logging minutes behind Zaza, JaVale, and Powell. He even battled the newcomer David Lee for minutes after he joined the roster and finished the season as the starting center in the playoffs.

Salah gave the Mavericks a presence above the rim on both ends of the floor, but most notably the defensive end. His tenacity on the court against some of the best in the league gave the Mavericks an energy that no one else on the roster could give them. He’s got my vote.” -Harris
