At that time, Chandler Parsons was healthy and the Mavs were finally looking to find their groove. Dallas was in a unique spot as they had a solid group of players, but not a roster that could compete in the playoffs. There was holes that needed to be filled. Now there wasn’t any trade that the Mavs could have done probably to propel them to the top, but I thought for sure they would have done something.

Then there is Dwight Powell, who Donnie Nelson said they fielded mid-first round offers for the youngsters, but they decided to hold on to him and sit him on the bench the majority of the late playoff push.
