2.) Will Dirk Nowitzki retire?

I hate even talking about it and I really feel no need, but could Monday night have been the last time we see Dirk on a NBA court?

Dirk enters the offseason with a player option for the last year of his three-year deal he signed. He has given every intention of picking up that player option and finishing his career with the Mavs. But there is one situation, he even reminded everyone last night at the press conference, where he would not come back to Dallas. That’s if they decide to rebuild.

If the Mavs decide to rebuild, then we might see Dirk walk away, but hardly anyone views that as a viable option heading into the summer. You have to mention it when talking about the offseason for the Mavs, but we all expect Dirk back next year for his 19th season.
